Student Services: Group Study Rooms

A guide to Library Services for TTU Law students

Group Study Rooms

The Collaborative Commons

 The Commons is located on the first floor. This area does not have a noise restriction, unlike the rest of the library. This allows groups to work on projects without worrying about noise issues.

Other law library events also take place in this area, including PB&J Bar, Library Contests, relaxation & de-stressing events, and more.

There are several Group Study Rooms located in the Law Library.

  1. Room 2—Upper Basement, bottom of stairs (table and dry-erase board);
  2. Room 3—Upper Basement, bottom of stairs (table and dry-erase board);
  3. Rooms 5B and 5C—large rooms in Lower Basement (table, dry-erase/projection board, projector, DVD player, lectern and in-table laptop connections); and
  4. Room 230A—2nd Floor Large Room (table only).

Study rooms are now reserved online. To reserve these rooms, students should go to: http://www.depts.ttu.edu/law/lawlibrary/studyroomreservation.php. Please review the study rooms guidelines on the website prior to making a booking.

All individuals or groups of students are restricted to no more than four (4) hours of use per day. A breach of the above rules may result in the loss of group study room privileges for the semester. Group study rooms are NOT soundproof, so please minimize noise so as not to disturb those studying nearby.
