Scholarly Research Resources

This guide describes the various services available to students participating on one of Texas Tech's law journals.

Bluebook Online

Bluebook Online is providing 60 free days of access to the Bluebook Online.

To obtain an access key, contact Professor Nie at dajiang.nie@ttu.edu.  Keys can only be used once, so you must email Prof. Nie for your own unique key.

To set up an account, you must start a free trial. After you sign up for the free trial, you should LOG IN, and go to this page:https://www.legalbluebook.com/bluebook/subscription. Then, scroll down to the bottom and redeem your key. That will add time to your account. Be sure to use your TTU email address for your username.

Once you've created your individualized account, you will be able to access your account with your username and password.

Your subscription is active 60 days from the date you redeem the key on the website.

Greenbook and Manual on Usage & Style (MoUS)

Online editions of both the Greenbook and the Manual on Usage and Style are available via the Rulebook app.  Greenbook's price is $15.99 and MoUS's price is $18.99.

Please noteRulebook app currently only works for Apple devices.

Cite Checking Resources

For help with your cite checks, please contact the Reference Team at reference.law@ttu.edu.

What types of problems can we help you with?

  • If you can’t find a source cited in a citation and cannot access it through interlibrary loan (for more help with interlibrary loan, see below)
  • If you have to add a footnote and need to find a supporting source
  • If you need help with an unusual citation (for more information on online access to citation and style manuals, see below)

If you're stuck in other ways and aren't sure if we can help, shoot us an email.  If we can't help you directly, we may be able to point you to someone who can.  We're here to help!
