Excellence in Legal Research Program: UV Jones Award

Information on the Law Library's Excellence in Legal Research Program

Eligibility & Award


The U.V. Jones Excellence in Legal Research Award, honoring the career of Texas Tech Law Librarian U.V. Jones, is granted annually to the student who has completed the Excellence in Legal Research Program with the highest average score on all their final assessment throughout their participation in the ELR Program.

The amount of the annual award shall be $250.00. The award will be processed through the winning student's financial aid package. If the student has not capped the annual cost of attendance in student loans, then the award will be disbursed. If the student has met the student loan cap, the award will reduce the loan. The winning student's name will be forwarded to Lisa Green for processing.

The winning student will be recognized during the Law School's annual Award & Honors event.
